Tip Time Tuesday: Parades and Fireworks

Today’s tip is definitely not for everyone! Some people get belligerent when I tell them that my family very rarely watches the parades or fireworks at the Disney parks. (Since we usually stay on the monorail, we will watch Wishes from our balcony, in our PJs!) At some point we have seen all the Disney parades and fireworks shows but it is simply not a priority for us. There is nothing wrong with watching them, and I have tons of tips and recommendations for viewing spots for my clients (with over 50 trips to Disney – I have seen enough parades and fireworks to know the prime viewing locations, even if I don’t watch them that frequently!) but for my family, watching them just isn’t high on our list of things to do. One of the reasons is that while the parades and fireworks are going on people are lined up to watch, which means they are NOT lined up to ride the rides. Queue times for popular attractions are often a fraction of their normal wait times during the parades and fireworks. So if they aren’t high on your list of things to do – consider using that time to take advantage of shorter lines (on rides, in stores, and for dining!)

A great view for a Magic Kingdom parade – dare I say it was an “Incredible” view!
